Paint Spraying Operative Late Shift - Temp to Perm!
Location: Northampton, NN4
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm - 10:30pm
Contracted Hours: 35 hours per week
Aspired Talent is recruiting for an experienced Paint Spraying Operative to join a specialist manufacturer of luxury wooden drawers and doorsets in Northampton. The company manufactures premium products for high-end customers, so exceptional attention to detail and a consistently flawless finish are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Spray-paint luxury wooden drawers, doorsets and associated components.
- Prepare wooden surfaces through sanding, cleaning, masking and priming.
- Mix and apply paints, primers, lacquers and specialist finishes.
- Set up and adjust spraying equipment to achieve the correct coverage and finish.
- Inspect completed products for colour consistency, coverage and surface imperfections.
- Identify and correct defects such as runs, marks, uneven coatings or contamination.
- Handle finished products carefully to prevent damage.
- Complete work in line with customer specifications and production schedules.
- Clean and maintain spray equipment and the working area.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
Essential Requirements
- Previous professional painting or paint-spraying experience is essential.
- Experience spraying wood, furniture, doors, joinery or similar products is highly desirable.
- Outstanding attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
- Ability to achieve a smooth, consistent and high-end finish.
- Good understanding of surface preparation and paint application.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Reliable and able to work the full late-shift pattern.
- Comfortable working within a busy manufacturing environment.
