Pay: £50,000.00 per year Job Description: Service Operations Manager – Aftersales Location: Blackburn Contract: Permanent Salary: £50,000 per year, plus bonus and overtime opportunities Aspired Talent is recruiting a Service Operations Manager for CoolKit, a specialist in temperature-controlled vehicles. This is an opportunity to take ownership of its Aftersales function, strengthen customer relationships and grow a profitable service business. The role is predominantly commercial and customer focused. You will lead the development of service and maintenance contracts, retain and grow existing accounts, identify new opportunities and take responsibility for departmental financial performance. You will also improve the processes and systems that support customers and the mobile engineering team. What you’ll be doing Own Aftersales revenue, costs, gross margin and overall departmental performance. Build relationships with fleet customers, resolve significant issues and ensure commitments are delivered. Grow revenue through maintenance contracts, planned servicing, renewals and chargeable repairs. Review pricing, contract profitability and opportunities within existing accounts. Lead the Service Operations Coordinator and Lead Transport Refrigeration Engineer, with oversight of the mobile engineering team. Improve job management, customer communication, invoicing and reporting processes. Monitor service performance, including engineer utilisation, response times, first-time fix rates and outstanding work. Work with Quality and Technical teams to resolve warranty issues and reduce repeat problems. About you You will have managed a service or aftersales function and be comfortable owning customers, commercial growth and financial results. You can show how you have improved processes, developed a team and turned performance data into action. Experience in transport refrigeration would be welcome.
