We are working with an entertainment client who is looking to hire a Research Director to lead and work on a range of quantitative projects, within a fast-paced, commercially driven environment. This is a high-impact role sitting in the heart of the insight team, where you will be responsible for turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that shape commercial strategy, brand partnerships, and audience engagement.

You will oversee the delivery of multiple research workstreams across quant and qual projects, combining hands-on analytical depth with strategic oversight, team leadership, and strong stakeholder management. The role requires a commercially minded insights leader with deep expertise in advanced quantitative methodologies (including segmentation, MaxDiff and Conjoint), strong data storytelling skills, and the ability to translate complex datasets into commercially relevant recommendations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading end-to-end delivery of quantitative and qualitative research programmes
  • Translating multi-source data (MR, first-party, social listening) into actionable insight
  • Managing and prioritising multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Leading and developing a small team, alongside external partners
  • Embedding insight across commercial and marketing decision-making
  • Presenting clear, compelling findings to senior stakeholders

The Ideal Candidate:

  • You will have a strong background in market research / consumer insights (ideally with agency experience)
  • Advanced quantitative research expertise and strong analytical capability
  • Experience in qualitative research is advantageous
  • Experience working with social media listening tools
  • Confident using tools such as DisplayR (or similar), Tableau, and social listening platforms
  • Proven track record in managing and developing people
  • Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder influencing skills
  • Able to operate strategically and tactically in a fast-moving environment
