Are you an experienced Costs Draftsman or Costs Lawyer with a strong background in Multi-Track and high-value litigation? Do you take pride in delivering exceptional client service while producing technically excellent work? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
We’re recruiting on behalf of Your Legal Costs, a well-established specialist in the field of legal costs, who are looking to add an experienced Multi-Track Costs Draftsman / Costs Lawyer to their growing Drafting Department.
Responsibilities- Preparing and serving Multi-Track Bills of Costs and Precedent S style Bills
- Drafting Costs Budgets and dealing with Precedent R negotiations and Precedent T amendments
- Preparing N260 Statements of Costs and attending CCMCs where required
- Providing expert support and guidance to both internal teams and external clients
- Identifying opportunities for efficiency and continuous improvement within the drafting process
- Staying up to date with CPR developments and costs case law
- Training and developing junior colleagues and assisting with client training sessions
- 5 years’ experience drafting standard and complex Bills of Costs
- Proven ability to prepare Precedent S style Bills and Costs Budgets
- Strong understanding of phasing, future costs, and CPR
- Excellent knowledge of CostsMaster (essential) and ideally Proclaim
- Strong Excel and IT skills
- Ability to attend and represent at CCMCs (advantageous)
- Experience across a range of case types including:
- Housing Disrepair
- Undisclosed Commissions & Finance Claims
- Personal Injury
- Clinical Negligence
- Commercial Litigation
- Catastrophic Injury
- Industrial Disease / NIHL / Serious RTA / Holiday Claims
If you enjoy mentoring others, the ability to train internal teams or external clients on costs management and updates will be a real advantage.
