Medical Secretary (Full-Time, Temporary Contract)

Position Details

  • Contract: Temporary – 3 months (could be extending)
  • Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Pay: £12.60ph – £13.63ph
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm
  • Breaks: 1‑hour lunch break, two 10‑minute breaks
  • Location: Manchester

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Medical Secretary or Audio Typist
  • Strong audio typing skills
  • Proficient in EMIS and Gateway
  • Ideally have an active Smartcard
  • Ideally holds an active NHS email address

About the Role

The successful candidate will support a busy central admin team, ensuring efficient secretarial and administrative services across multiple GP practices. This is a fully onsite role requiring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work confidently within a clinical administrative environment. Candidates who have Audio Typing experience from other sectors, not just NHS, will also be considered.
