We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a friendly finance team based in London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or someone with some initial finance experience who is keen to gain exposure across a broad range of accounting responsibilities.

The Role

Reporting into the senior finance team, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function.

This position offers excellent development opportunities and exposure to all aspects of transactional finance and accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing purchase ledger invoices
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Preparing and distributing client statements
  • Processing bank payments and receipts
  • Performing bank reconciliations
  • Managing employee expenses, company credit cards, and petty cash
  • Assisting with credit control activities
  • Supporting month-end reconciliations and reporting
  • Assisting with year-end audit preparations
  • Resolving finance-related queries in a timely manner
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties

About You

  • Previous experience within an accounts or finance role
  • Degree educated in Accounting, Finance, Business, Maths, or a related discipline (desirable)
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Sage 200 experience would be beneficial but is not essential
