Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Headteacher role located in Dudley. The Headteacher will lead the academy in achieving its vision of providing inclusive education. Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing curriculum development
- Managing and inspiring educational staff
- Ensuring compliance with SEND guidelines
- Fostering a positive environment
- Liaising with families and community partners to support student success
- Maintaining high educational standards
- Implementing strategies to help students thrive academically and socially
Qualifications
- Experience in Education with a strong understanding of teaching methods and inclusive practices
- Proven expertise in Curriculum Development and execution
- Demonstrated ability in Educational Leadership and managing teams effectively
- Strong Communication skills for engaging with students, staff, families, and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and practices supporting Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for students
- Relevant teaching qualifications and leadership certification (e.g., NPQH or similar), with experience in senior education roles
- Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and experience working with SEND learners is highly desirable
