Level 3 Early Years Team Leader – Horns Drove Community Childcare

The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to complete a Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship at Horns Drove Comunity Childcare as a Senior Early Years Practitioner

At Horns Drove, we provide a pre-school setting during term time, looking after children aged 2 years up to reception age. We also operate a breakfast club for children age 2 years and above, and an after-school club for children aged 3 to 11 years . During school schools we offer a holiday club for children aged 3 to 11 years.

Our pre-school provides 30 places per day for children aged 2 up to reception age. We\’re based in a purpose built lodge within the grounds of Rownhams St John\’s primary school and provide children with a wide range of activities including cooking, messy play, story and song time, play dough, sensory play, and water play. We boast a large outdoor play area with a climbing frame, playhouse, sandpit, mud kitchen, and kitchen garden. Children should come dressed for mess!

We encourage the children to learn about the world around them which is enhanced by growing vegetables and nature/welly walks in the school grounds. We provide opportunities for learning through stimulating play activities, promoting development and learning in a happy caring environment. Your child will have fun, grow in confidence, be valued, and feel secure. All 3-4 year old children will also participate in our language programme, BLAST.

Each child will be allocated a key-person who will observe your child\’s development throughout their time with us, and keep records that will be made available to you. We\’ll also hold key-person/parent meetings during the year to discuss your child\’s progress and set future focus activities.

Your roles and responsibilities will include;

  • Work along senior leadership team
  • Will have opportunities chairing team meetings along with the deputy and manager
  • Create a stimulating environment to discover awe and wonder
  • Open and close
  • Will be a key holder
  • Help implement activities
  • Following the curriculum
  • Opportunities to update their CDD
  • They will develop into the DSL role
  • They would be a mentor role an apprentice
  • Helping at mealtimes
  • Heling with personal care
  • Liaising with families
  • Someone who is willing to role model a senior position
  • Requirements;

  • A Level 3 Childcare Qualification is required
  • GCSE’s A*-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e. functional skills
  • Must obtain a clear DBS
  • Hours;

  • Horns Drove is open between the hours of :30 Monday-Friday
  • Working hours will be 30-35 hours per week
