Early Years Team Leader Level 3 – Phoenix Childcare

The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to complete an Early Years Team Leader Level 3 at Phoenix Childcare as Trainee Room Leader.

By providing a high quality, integrated play and learning environment, our vision helps to strengthen and support the development of children and their families within the local area of Torquay, and works especially close with the community of Ellacombe

Your roles and responsibilities will include;

  • Will initially shadow the other Room leader within the setting to learn the role.
  • And be responsible for the day to day care and support of between 8 and 12 children per day.
  • Will be responsible for 1 member of staff initially (apprentice), the team will grow as the children numbers increase.
  • Responsible for mentoring and supporting the apprentice in the room.
  • Working closely with the manager and leadership team, ensuring the safeguarding of the children is met.
  • Responsible for keeping up to date the children’s earning journals.
  • Undertake all aspects of personal care
  • Planning and implementing the day’s activities, be hands on playing, reading and development of the children and all of the children’s needs.
  • Liaising with parents and external agencies.
  • Requirements;

  • Level 3 Early Years Educator Qualification
  • GCSE’s A*-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e. functional skills
  • Must obtain a clear DBS
  • Hours;

  • Phoenix Childcare is open between the hours of 07:30-18:00 Monday-Friday
  • Working hours will be 35-40 hours per week
