Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship – Level 5 – Tadpoles Daycare

The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Tadpoles Daycare as a Level 5 Childcare Apprentice as a Nursery Manager, covering Maternity Leave.

Tadpoles Daycare operates from a high quality and modern environment where we aim to deliver the highest standard of teaching and care to our children. We aim to inspire a child’s imagination in surroundings that promote the importance of learning.

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Manager (maternity leave) to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare and early childhood education, along with strong leadership skills.

This is an exciting opportunity to complete a Level 5 Apprenticeship in a leadership role within a friendly team at a fantastic setting

Your roles and responsibilities will include;

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day management, running and development of the nursery. Working as a Nursery Manager you will lead on operational management and co-ordination of the childcare provision including staff, children, and equipment, planning and implementing of the Early Years Foundations Stages (EYFS) working towards an outstanding level of care, and maintaining our Good Ofsted accreditation.
  • This role will be the lead for the nursery conducting a mix of managerial and in-room tasks. Involved in all financial operations, meeting targets and managing occupancy levels, ensuring maximum utilisation. Monitoring and assessing the quality of provision ensuring policies and procedures, best practice, and standards are maintained. Reporting to the Community Centre Manager and Tadpoles Committee.
  • Hours;

  • Tadpoles Daycare are open between the hours of 08:00-16:30
  • Working hours will be between 34-42.5 hours per week
  • Requirements;

  • Level 3 Early Years Childcare Qualification is essential when applying for this role
  • GCSE’s A*-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e. functional skills
  • Must be able to obtain clear DBS
  • At least 2 years’ experience of leadership within an Early Years Setting or suitable experience
  • Management and Childcare experience is essential
  • Qualities Required;

  • We are looking for someone who is passionate about early years and staff development, a dedicated and approachable leader
  • You will have Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid, and Food Hygiene qualifications, be able to complete risk assessments and showcase the commitment to your own Continued Professional Development (CPD)
  • If you are passionate, inspiring, able to develop good working relationships with parents and other professionals, strong and effective communication skills and strong leadership styles that ensures our nursery team is well equipped to provide the highest standards of early learning and childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old
