Shoots Training are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join Marsh Lane Day Nursery at their Yeovil setting as a Level 3 Apprentice.
Established in 1995, Marsh Lane Day Nursery Ltd is set in a lovely and quiet location on Marsh Lane. We are easily accessible from either Ilchester Road or Coombe Street Lane, and the nursery is located away from the road with a private car park for parents. The Nursery has three pleasant and secure outdoor areas, with access to Yeovil Recreation Centre, and is only a short walk to a local farm and country walks. Our meals are prepared fresh on-site by our Cook, who takes pride in meeting all children's needs. Our staff have a wide range of Early Years qualifications from level 2 to level 6, and we are passionate about updating our skills regularly through various courses.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Working towards becoming a key person
- Working as part of a team to provide a safe, caring, fun, and stimulating environment
- Undertaking all aspects of personal care, including nappy changing and assisting at feeding times
- Updating children's progress using tapestry
- Building confidence in liaising with parents and keeping them updated on their children's progress
- Assisting with organizing daily activities
Requirements:
- You must be able to gain a clear DBS check
- Ideally, you will have GCSE Grades A*-C in English Language and Maths, or equivalent (e.g., functional skills)
Hours:
Marsh Lane Day Nursery is open from 08:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday. Working hours will be 40 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed.
