Job description:

The Aspire Training Team are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship at Little Owls Pre-School.

Little Owls has been providing childcare in the local community for over 30 years. We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation and are governed by a Board of Trustees. We are based in Higher Compton and provide approximately 50 child spaces from 3 months to 5 years. We have a team of 8 qualified and experienced staff. We operate during the term time and endeavour to offer holiday clubs during the school holidays.

We are a bijou, friendly nursery with a close working team. We are a term time nursery, with some holiday club shifts. We are rated Good by Ofsted. Our \’Topic Area\’ is an area within the Pre-School Room that focuses on different interests that the children currently have, or celebrations that are happening within our community.

Your roles and responsibilities will include;

  • To provide inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children aged between 3 months and 5 years
  • To help maintain a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment
  • Food preparation
  • Supporting with nappy changing and toileting
  • Play
  • Learning
  • Reading
  • Be committed to the welfare and Safeguarding of the children.

  • The setting is open from 07:30-17:00 Monday to Friday
  • The successful candidate will be required to work between 30-40 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed.
  • Requirements;

  • You must be able to gain a clear DBS
  • Have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent
