Greenways Primary Academy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Learning Support Practitioner to join our welcoming and supportive team.
ResponsibilitiesThe Learning Support Practitioner’s (LSP) main role is to provide support for a pupil or pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan. The LSP will ensure that the pupil/s can integrate as fully as possible in our Year 2 class and take part in the activities undertaken by the other children and make progress. You will need to have high expectations of the pupil/s that you work with and yourself, with a determined approach to ensuring every child can succeed. You will join a staff team who are fun, dedicated, hardworking and professional.
Requirements / Qualifications- Has experience of working in a school or educational setting
- Demonstrates experience of working with pupils who have SEND needs with a particular focus on Autism
- Has the ability to adapt communication and learning approaches to meet the needs of pupils with SEND
- Shows dedication and has high expectations
- Has the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Has good subject and curriculum knowledge relevant to the role and year group
- Good ICT skills, particularly using ICT to support learning
- Is organised and can manage own workload
- Has a recognised NVQ Level 3 Qualification or higher
