I am looking for Flood Risk & Drainage Consultants at all levels from Consultant to Principal / Associate Director level. You will assist in preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies for developments within the property, renewable energy, and aviation sectors. Projects will include early strategy development, through to feasibility, outline design, planning submission, and discharge of conditions. You will have the opportunity to work within various consenting regimes, including Development Consent Orders and Town and Country Planning. You will be expected to liaise within the team (and externally) to design SuDS schemes, integrate strategies within the masterplan, and prepare planning reports. Support and assistance will be provided by the wider Water Team.
Key Skills
- Ability to recognise and communicate flood and drainage related constraints and opportunities at development sites.
- Experience producing FRAs and drainage strategies.
- Good knowledge and experience of Info Drainage (or other drainage modelling software).
- Ability to use AutoCAD and GIS.
- Good knowledge of the planning system, in particular flood related policy and guidance such as the NPPF and SuDS Manual.
- Awareness of project management and good communication skills.
- Ability to write clear and concise reports.
- Some knowledge of Tuflow, Flood Modeller, FEH or river restoration would be a benefit, but is not essential.
