Job Description:

Are you an experienced Pensions professional looking for a new challenge away from day-to-day administration? We are recruiting for a Skills Development Tutor to support apprentices working towards careers within the Pensions industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in Pensions Administration who is passionate about developing others and sharing their industry knowledge. Working with learners across a range of employers, you will coach, mentor and support apprentices as they develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed in their careers. Previous teaching experience is not essential, as full support and development will be provided to help you become an effective tutor. This is a predominantly remote role, with attendance at the Manchester office required approximately once per quarter.

The role involves:

  • Managing a caseload of apprentices, supporting their progression and successful achievement of programme outcomes
  • Coaching and mentoring learners to develop their industry knowledge, skills and behaviours
  • Delivering engaging learning through a blend of virtual, digital and one-to-one support sessions
  • Creating and adapting learning materials to support apprentice development
  • Marking and providing constructive feedback on learner work
  • Monitoring learner progress against apprenticeship standards and key performance measures
  • Identifying and managing risks to learner achievement, implementing support plans where required
  • Maintaining accurate learner records and documentation
  • Supporting learners undertaking the Award in Pensions Essentials
  • Participating in quality assurance activities and continuous professional development

You'll need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience within the Pensions industry, ideally within Pensions Administration
  • Experience of coaching, mentoring, training or supporting colleagues in a professional environment
  • Strong knowledge of pensions processes and industry practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to motivate, engage and inspire learners
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your workload effectively
  • Good IT skills, including experience using digital systems, Microsoft Office and online learning platforms
  • Experience of working with management information systems and maintaining accurate records
  • A proactive and professional approach with a passion for developing others

If this sounds like the perfect role for you then please submit your CV.
