Across North Staffordshire Β£29,400 (25 Days Holiday, Bank Holidays, Pension Scheme) Full-time, Permanent

The Role: We are looking for proactive, self-motivated Employment Specialists to join a Connect to Work team across Staffordshire. This is a rewarding role working closely with individuals who have disabilities or health-related challenges, supporting them to secure sustainable employment and build long-term confidence and independence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a personal caseload, delivering all customer interactions face to face within the community.
  • Complete a detailed diagnostic at the initial appointment to understand each customer's employment history, skills, learning needs and barriers to work.
  • Develop tailored action plans and refer customers to appropriate training, workshops, mentoring and other interventions to address identified barriers and build employability.
  • Set clear SMART targets with each customer and review progress at every appointment to support sustained movement into employment.

Required skills and experience:

  • Proven experience working with unemployed customers, including managing a varied caseload and working towards job outcome targets.
  • Experience supporting individuals with multiple barriers to employment, with the ability to carry out in-depth diagnostics and identify realistic pathways into work.
  • Strong experience of setting and monitoring SMART targets, with a focused and organised approach to caseload management.
  • A high level of empathy and a genuine commitment to supporting people to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Due to the nature of this role, you will be a vehicle driver with access to your own vehicle.
  • You will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
