The Role: Are you passionate about helping individuals rebuild their lives? We are seeking a dedicated Trainer/Mentor to support participants through structured group sessions and one-on-one mentoring. This role focuses on delivering high-quality training as part of the Creating Future Opportunities (CFO) Evolution Programme, designed to prepare hard-to-reach individuals for reintegration into society.
Duties:
- Provide continuous resettlement support to participants.
- Deliver engaging group sessions for three hours per day to motivate participants and enhance learning outcomes.
- Engage with and manage participants on the CFO Evolution Wing, encouraging active participation.
- Design and deliver structured, high-impact sessions as per the CFO Wing timetable to improve engagement and attendance.
- Monitor and track participants' progress, ensuring high attendance, achievement rates, and progression.
- Offer structured feedback and development objectives to participants to support their personal growth.
- Build strong relationships with HMPPS and other agencies to enhance pre-release support and rehabilitation.
Required Skills:
- Experience working with offenders, marginalised individuals, or those facing significant barriers is desirable.
- Strong mentoring, coaching, and training skills to support participant engagement and development.
- Understanding of rehabilitation challenges, desistance theory, and reintegration pathways.
- Ability to deliver engaging group and one-on-one sessions, fostering motivation and progression.
- Knowledge of National Probation Services, HM Prison environments, and employment/training opportunities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills to track and report participant progress effectively.
Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
