About the Role
We are recruiting for a professional, friendly and customer-focused Front of House / Concierge Receptionist to join a prestigious city-centre location in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced customer-facing professional who enjoys creating a welcoming environment and delivering exceptional service to visitors, guests, tenants and clients. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for the building and will play a key role in ensuring a positive experience for everyone entering the premises. The role is initially temporary but offers the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing a professional and welcoming reception service to visitors, tenants and guests.
- Acting as the first point of contact both in person, by telephone and via email.
- Managing visitor sign-in procedures and maintaining security protocols.
- Handling enquiries efficiently and directing visitors to the appropriate person or department.
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the building.
- Assisting with the organisation and coordination of events held within the building.
- Ensuring reception and communal areas remain clean, tidy, professional and presentable at all times.
- Carrying out light housekeeping and tidying duties to maintain an immaculate environment.
- Managing diaries, bookings, meeting rooms and visitor arrangements where required.
- Completing general administration and data entry tasks.
- Building positive relationships with tenants, visitors, contractors and colleagues.
- Providing exceptional customer service and resolving queries in a professional manner.
- Supporting colleagues with additional duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience within a Front of House, Reception, Concierge, Customer Service or similar customer-facing role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service focus with a friendly, approachable and professional manner.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and computer systems.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads.
- Smart, professional and well-presented appearance.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to support the wider team.
- Happy to assist with light cleaning and tidying duties to maintain high standards throughout the building.
- Flexible and willing to support events and building activities when required.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience within property, residential buildings, serviced offices, hotels, hospitality, corporate reception, concierge or workspace environments.
- Experience supporting events, conferences or hospitality functions.
- Experience dealing with tenants, residents, guests or corporate clients.
