An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative to join an established, forward-thinking fabric supplier. The organisation prides itself on having strong community and social values.
You must have a Reach Truck licence.
Main Duties
- PICKING, PACKING AND DISPATCH OF ORDERS – GOODS TO BE PACKAGED / REWORKED TO MINIMISE SPACE USED AND RE-UTILISE PACKAGING MATERIALS WHERE POSSIBLE.
- GOODS RECEIPT – GOODS TO BE CHECKED OFF AGAINST DELIVERY NOTE AND VERIFIED. DELIVERY NOTE TO BE HANDED IN TO WAREHOUSE OFFICE – ORDERS RELEASED ACCORDINGLY.
- REACH TRUCK OPERATION AND UPKEEP – SENSIBLE USE OF TRUCK – REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND CHECKS TO BE CARRIED OUT TO ENSURE ECONOMICAL RUNNING.
- WAREHOUSE UPKEEP AND MAINTENANCE – SPACE CONSOLIDATION TO ENSURE MAXIMUM COST BENEFIT PER SQUARE FOOT OF WAREHOUSE SPACE. GENERAL CLEANLINESS, REUSE OF MATERIALS AND PALLETS ETC.
- INTER-WAREHOUSE TRANSFERS – MAXIMISE VEHICLE LOADS AND ENSURE FULL STOCK LEVELS AT BOTH LOCATIONS WHERE NECESSARY.
- LOCAL DELIVERIES WHERE NECESSARY – WITHIN LOCAL AREA FOR SMALL CONSIGNMENTS TO MINIMISE CARBON FOOTPRINT.
