We are recruiting for a Skills Development Tutor to support apprentices working towards careers within the Pensions industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in Pensions Administration who is passionate about developing others and sharing their industry knowledge.

Working with learners across a range of employers, you will coach, mentor and support apprentices as they develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed in their careers. This is a predominantly remote role, with attendance at the Manchester office required approximately once per quarter.

The role involves:

  • Managing a caseload of apprentices, supporting their progression and successful achievement of programme outcomes

  • Creating and adapting learning materials to support apprentice development
  • Marking and providing constructive feedback on learner work
  • Monitoring learner progress against apprenticeship standards and key performance measures
  • Identifying and managing risks to learner achievement, implementing support plans where required
  • Maintaining accurate learner records and documentation
  • Supporting learners undertaking the Award in Pensions Essentials
  • Participating in quality assurance activities and continuous professional development

You'll need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience within the Pensions industry, ideally within Pensions Administration
  • Experience of coaching, mentoring, training or supporting colleagues in a professional environment
  • Strong knowledge of pensions processes and industry practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to motivate, engage and inspire learners
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your workload effectively
  • Good IT skills, including experience using digital systems, Microsoft Office and online learning platforms
  • Experience of working with management information systems and maintaining accurate records
  • A proactive and professional approach with a passion for developing others
