We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Health & Social Care Tutor to deliver high-quality, engaging training to learners across a range of programmes. The ideal candidate will also have experience delivering employability skills, supporting learners to progress into work or further study.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about developing others, confident in creating inspiring learning content, and committed to achieving positive learner outcomes.
The Role Involves:
- Designing and delivering engaging face-to-face and blended learning sessions in Health & Social Care and Employability.
- Carrying out initial and ongoing assessments to ensure learners are on the right programme with the right support.
- Creating schemes of work, session plans, and differentiated learning materials suitable for a range of learner needs.
- Using digital tools, online platforms and interactive resources to enhance the learner experience.
- Assessing learners' work, providing meaningful feedback and setting clear development targets.
- Monitoring and tracking learner progress to support timely achievement and high success rates.
- Preparing learners for assessments, assignments or exams where required.
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health & safety and quality assurance.
- Supporting with recruitment activities, promotion of courses and contributing to continuous improvement.
- Engaging with employers where needed to support progression and employability outcomes.
You’ll Need:
- Minimum 5 years' vocational experience within Health & Social Care.
- 1–2 years' experience delivering training, teaching or assessment.
- Experience delivering employability skills or supporting learners into work (desirable).
- A recognised teaching qualification (DET / PGCE / Cert Ed / equivalent) – or willingness to work towards one.
- Strong coaching, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to develop creative, learner-centred teaching resources.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and digital learning platforms.
- A supportive, flexible and motivating approach to helping learners achieve.
Due to the site you will be working at, you will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
