We are currently recruiting for an experienced Careers Advisor to deliver high‐quality careers information, advice, and guidance across schools, colleges, and training provider settings. You will work directly with students and learners who are in education, training, or seeking employment, helping them to make informed decisions about their future pathways.
You will manage a varied caseload, developing individual action plans and supporting learners with progression routes, including further education, training opportunities, and employment. You will also deliver labour market information and contribute to personal, social, health and careers education programmes.
Responsibilities
- Delivering impartial careers guidance to students and learners
- Managing a caseload and creating tailored action/development plans
- Supporting learners with progression routes including UCAS applications
- Providing up‐to‐date labour market and careers information
- Building strong relationships with schools, colleges, and training providers
- Setting SMART targets and tracking learner progress against outcomes
- Delivering group sessions and workshops as required
Qualifications
- Minimum Level 6 IAG qualification (essential)
- Proven experience delivering careers education, information, advice, and guidance
- Strong knowledge of the local labour market and education/training pathways
- Experience working with young people in an educational or employability setting
- Excellent communication and relationship‐building skills
- Ability to manage a fluctuating caseload and meet performance targets
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and to be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check if offered the role
- Access to own vehicle as this role involves travel across the region
