We are looking for an experienced and proactive Employer Engagement Manager who will build strong employer relationships, generate vacancies and support adult learners into sustainable employment through pre-employment programmes within the FE & Skills sector. This role focuses on working closely with employers to source inclusive, sustainable job opportunities and create positive employment outcomes for learners.

You will identify, engage and convert new employer partners, understand recruitment needs, and position pre-employment programmes as effective recruitment solutions. You will build a strong employer pipeline across priority sectors, secure interview commitments and work closely with internal teams to ensure learners are matched to suitable employment opportunities.

You will be target-driven, working to KPIs across employer engagement, vacancies, interviews and job outcomes, while maintaining accurate CRM records and representing the service professionally at employer meetings, networking events and sector exhibitions. This is a key role for someone who enjoys business development, relationship management and making a direct impact within adult learning, employability and the FE & Skills sector.

Duties:
  • Build and grow relationships with new and existing employers to generate vacancies and job opportunities.
  • Promote employability and pre-employment programmes through meetings, networking and employer engagement activity.
  • Develop new employer partnerships through business development, networking, LinkedIn and lead generation activity.
  • Work consultatively with employers to understand recruitment needs and match suitable candidates.
  • Liaise with internal teams to promote vacancies and maximise employment outcomes.
  • Secure interviews and support participants into sustainable employment.
  • Attend employer events and sector networking opportunities to develop new business.
  • Meet and exceed targets relating to employer engagement, vacancies and starts.
  • Maintain accurate records and employer engagement activity on CRM systems.
Required Skills:
  • Experience in employer engagement, recruitment, business development or B2B sales.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and generating new business opportunities.
  • Strong account management and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of the local labour market and employer recruitment challenges.
  • Understanding of the FE & Skills sector, adult learning or employability programmes.
  • Confident networking and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong communication, organisational and IT skills.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Commitment to supporting people into sustainable employment.

Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
