Seeking an experienced and engaging Employability Tutor to deliver high‑quality training to learners studying Employability at Levels 1 and 2. The successful candidate will support learners to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further study. This role is ideal for someone passionate about improving life chances, confident in delivering engaging sessions, and committed to achieving positive learner outcomes.
The Role Involves:
- Delivering engaging face‑to‑face and blended learning sessions in Employability (Levels 1 & 2).
- Supporting learners to develop key employability skills including CV writing, interview preparation, job search and workplace behaviours.
- Carrying out initial and ongoing assessments to ensure learners are placed on the right programme with appropriate support.
- Creating schemes of work, session plans and differentiated learning resources to meet a range of learner needs.
- Using digital tools and interactive resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Assessing learners’ work, providing constructive feedback and setting clear development targets.
- Monitoring and tracking learner progress to support timely achievement and positive outcomes.
- Preparing learners for progression into employment, apprenticeships or further training.
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health & safety and quality assurance.
- Supporting learner recruitment, course promotion and continuous improvement activities.
You’ll Need:
- Experience delivering employability skills or similar training programmes.
- Experience in teaching, training or assessing learners (desirable).
- A recognised teaching qualification (DET / PGCE / Cert Ed / equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
- Strong coaching, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to develop engaging, learner‑centred resources.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and digital learning platforms.
- A supportive, flexible and motivating approach to learner development.
Due to the site you will be working at, you will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
