We are looking for proactive, self-motivated Employment Advisors to join a Connect to Work team. This is a rewarding role working directly with individuals who have disabilities or health-related challenges, supporting them to secure sustainable employment and build long-term confidence and independence.
We welcome applications from candidates with prior Employment Advisor experience or a background as a Recruitment Consultant, as both provide relevant skills for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a personal caseload, delivering all customer interactions face to face within the community.
- Carry out detailed diagnostics at initial appointments to understand each customer’s employment history, skills, learning needs, and barriers to work.
- Develop tailored action plans and refer customers to relevant training, workshops, mentoring, and other interventions to address barriers and improve employability.
- Set clear SMART targets with each customer and review progress at every appointment to support sustainable movement into employment.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting on customer outcomes and progress.
- Prior experience as an Employment Advisor or as a Recruitment Consultant managing a caseload and supporting individuals into work.
- Experience supporting people with multiple barriers to employment, including conducting in-depth diagnostics and identifying realistic pathways into work.
- Strong skills in setting and monitoring SMART targets, with a focused and organised approach to caseload management.
- High level of empathy and a genuine commitment to helping people achieve positive outcomes.
- Due to the nature of this role, you will be a vehicle driver with access to your own vehicle and will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if successful in this role.
