About the Role: Are you passionate about helping people overcome barriers and move into work? We're looking for an Employment Advisor to support individuals on the WorkWell Programme. You'll work directly with people who need tailored support to return to employment, helping them build confidence, develop skills and take positive steps forward. This is a hands-on role where you'll guide customers through their journey, plan personalised support, and work with partners and employers to create real job opportunities.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage your own caseload, completing detailed assessments and creating individual work focused action plans.
- Provide flexible, tailored support based on each customer's needs, reviewing progress regularly.
- Refer customers to suitable training, health and specialist services to support their move toward work.
- Support job search activity, job matching and preparation for employment, including employer engagement and work trials.
- Promote customers to local employers and make targeted sales calls to secure job opportunities.
- Help customers transition from benefits into work and provide in-work support to aid sustainability.
- Maintain accurate records in line with contractual and audit requirements.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience supporting people with diverse needs, ideally including unemployed individuals.
- Ability to manage a caseload, work independently and achieve performance targets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and build trust.
- Knowledge of employment barriers, local labour markets and welfare benefits.
- Confidence engaging employers and identifying suitable job opportunities.
- Good organisational, IT, literacy and numeracy skills.
- You will ideally hold an NVQ Level 3 in Advice & Guidance or have the equivalent experience.
Due to the nature of this role, you will be a vehicle driver with access to your own vehicle and will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if successful in this role.
