Employment Advisor South Ribble/Preston £29,777 (25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays, Local Government Pension Scheme) Full-time, Permanent The Role: We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Employment Advisor to support unemployed individuals facing mental health challenges and other barriers in their journey to employment. This role also involves assisting those on long-term sick leave to successfully return to the workplace. Duties: Manage a caseload of clients with diverse challenges, including mental health issues, disabilities, substance misuse, offending backgrounds, and skills gaps. Conduct thorough initial assessments to understand each clients barriers, previous experiences, skills, and training needs. Develop and agree on SMART action plans with clients, regularly reviewing their progress and addressing any new challenges to help them become work-ready. Engage with employers to identify and promote suitable employment opportunities for clients. Provide up to six months of in-work support for clients who successfully secure employment, ensuring sustained progress. Required Skills: 2 years proven experience as an Employment Advisor or Job Coach, with a strong track record of supporting unemployed individuals into work. Skilled in developing person-centred SMART action plans and managing complex caseloads. Demonstrated success in engaging employers, identifying job opportunities, and supporting clients through applications, interviews, and onboarding processes. A self-starter who thrives in a results-driven environment and is committed to making a positive impact. A full, clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
