Aspire People is currently seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support a vibrant and welcoming secondary school to start in September. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone with proven experience, or aspiring teachers who wish to work in a primary school before pursuing their teacher training.
The Role:
- Support across KS3-4, working alongside class teachers to deliver high-quality learning
- Work across a range of subjects, mainly working in your subject specialism or with young people with additional needs
- Deliver targeted intervention sessions outside of the classroom, helping to raise attainment
- Full-time position, with the potential to become a permanent post for the right candidate
- A trial day will be offered for shortlisted applicants
- September start
You will need:
- A degree in core subject, psychology or education related subject
- Recent, relevant experience working with young people is beneficial
- Confidence delivering intervention work to small groups
- A proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for education
