Aspire People are currently recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Health & Social Care Teacher to work in a Secondary school in Cardiff from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with experience delivering Health & Social Care or related vocational qualifications at Key Stage 4 and/or Key Stage 5. The role may be offered on a long‑term or full‑time basis for the right candidate.
The Role
- Delivering Health & Social Care lessons at KS4 and/or KS5
- Teaching BTEC, CACHE or equivalent vocational qualifications
- Supporting pupils with coursework and portfolio‑based assessments
- Planning engaging lessons linked to real‑world Health & Social Care contexts
- Monitoring progress and supporting pupils to meet qualification criteria
- Working collaboratively with departmental staff and senior leaders
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience teaching Health & Social Care in a Secondary school or FE setting
- QTS or a relevant teaching qualification (or strong sector experience)
- Experience delivering vocational or coursework‑based qualifications
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- A positive, professional and learner‑focused approach
