Our client is a well-established international logistics provider with a strong UK presence. They are seeking a Road Freight Operator to join their team based at a modern logistics site. This is a full-time, permanent position supporting European road freight operations within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage European groupage road freight services from origin through to final destination

*

Coordinate both international and domestic freight movements

*

Liaise with customers, overseas partners, and external suppliers

*

Work as part of a departmental team, within a wider operational group

*

Ensure accurate handling of freight documentation, including customs paperwork

*

Calculate costs, charges, and taxable kilos manually where required

Essential Requirements

*

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in European road freight operations

*

Strong understanding of European road freight processes

*

Experience calculating costs, charges, and taxable kilos

*

Proven customer service skills

*

Working knowledge of customs documentation

*

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team

*

Ability to drive, due to limited public transport access at the site

Desirable

*

Experience working within a freight forwarding environment

*

Familiarity with groupage services

Package

*

Salary dependent on experience, xiskglj with a budget of up to £35,000 per annum
