Role Overview
Our client is seeking an organised and proactive Projects Administrator to support the successful delivery of construction and engineering projects. Working closely with Project Managers and the Operations team, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure projects run efficiently, remain on schedule and comply with company procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced, project-led environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to Project Managers across multiple live projects.
- Set up new projects, maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports, correspondence and meeting minutes.
- Manage document control, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, revision tracking and document registers.
- Raise purchase orders, coordinate supplier quotations and monitor material orders, deliveries and lead times.
- Coordinate engineer and subcontractor schedules, project meetings, site access, inductions and permits where required.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors, providing project updates and ensuring effective communication throughout each project.
- Assist with monthly valuations, payment applications and monitoring project costs.
- Maintain Health & Safety documentation, RAMS and compliance records.
- Update project databases, archive completed documentation and support continuous improvements to administrative processes.
- Provide additional administrative support to the Operations team as required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Project Administrator, Project Coordinator or in a similar project support role.
- Experience working within the construction, engineering or another project-led environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
Desirable
- Experience using project management software such as Joblogic or similar.
- Knowledge of document control, procurement and purchase order processes.
- Understanding of construction or engineering project documentation.
- Experience working with subcontractors and suppliers.
Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
- Previous experience within construction or engineering is advantageous.
Package
- Β£30,000 β Β£35,000 salary.
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Office-based role near Dartford.
