The Role
This is a varied role that combines sales administration, customer service and basic accounts. You will be looking after existing customer accounts, processing orders, completing general administration and assisting with the day-to-day accounts function using Sage. You’ll also have the opportunity to build relationships with customers and, where appropriate, visit clients. There is also the potential to earn commission.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and developing existing customer accounts.
- Processing customer enquiries, quotations and sales orders.
- Speaking with customers over the phone and providing excellent customer service.
- Using the company CRM system to manage customer information and orders.
- Raising sales invoices.
- Processing purchase invoices.
- Assisting with general accounts administration using Sage.
- Maintaining accurate customer and sales records.
- Liaising with suppliers and internal departments.
- Visiting clients when opportunities arise.
- Supporting the wider office team with general administration.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a Sales Administrator, Office Administrator or Customer Service role.
- Basic accounts experience, including purchase and sales invoicing.
- Experience using Sage or similar accounting software.
- Experience using a CRM system.
- Confident and professional telephone manner.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- A positive, flexible and team-oriented approach.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Salary & Benefits
£27,000 – £33,000 per annum, depending on experience.
