Role Overview: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
This is a long-term career opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and growing team. The successful candidate will support the commercial team on both live projects and pre-construction activities, helping to ensure financial control and project delivery excellence.
You will gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle and be mentored by experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors, contributing to the continuous improvement of the commercial department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing commercial aspects of several live and pre-construction projects
- Participate in full project lifecycle activities, from pre-construction to delivery
- Support monthly CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation) meetings
- Conduct post-tender pricing analysis and assessments
- Help manage and administer subcontractor accounts
- Develop a solid understanding of project contracts, specifications, and pricing
- Carry out site visits and measure works for subcontractor payments
Candidate Profile
- HNC (or higher) in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
- Strong numerical and commercial awareness
- Eagerness to learn from experienced colleagues and follow direction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
