Company Overview: Our client is a growing, reputable construction company delivering high-quality new builds and high-end residential refurbishments. They are seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their commercial team, offering great exposure and long-term career growth. Role Summary: A dual role supporting both quantity surveying and estimating. You\’ll assist in cost planning, tendering, procurement, and commercial admin from pre-construction to final account, working closely with project managers and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare cost estimates, take-offs, and tender submissions * Issue enquiries and evaluate subcontractor/supplier quotes * Assist in budget tracking, valuations, and cost reporting * Maintain contract records and support with final accounts * Attend site and project meetings Requirements: Essential: * Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or similar * 1–2 years’ QS or estimating experience (incl. placement) * Strong numeracy, Excel skills, and construction knowledge * UK driving licence Desirable: * Experience in residential new builds and high-end refurbs * Familiar with JCT contracts and estimating software * Progressing toward RICS or CIOB What’s on Offer: * £30,000 – £45,000 salary (DOE) * Career progression to QS * High-quality, design-led projects * Supportive, growing team Due to the high number of applications, Aspire Recruitment can only contact short-listed candidates for the role.
