IPS Employment Specialist Wigan £27,000 – £28,500 (25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays, Pension Scheme) Full-time, Permanent The Role: We are currently recruiting for an initiative-taking IPS Employment Specialist who will support unemployed customers with mental health and additional barriers to work in toemployment and those currently off sick to return to the workplace. Duties: You will manage a caseload of customers who present with multiple barriers including mental health, disabilities, drug/alcohol, ex-offenders, lack of skills etc. You will complete a thorough initial assessment with each new customer to identify their barriers, what they have done before, their skills or their training needs. You will agree SMART actions with each customer, and you will meet them on a regular basis to manage progress, identify any new challenges and to ensure they move closer to being work-ready. You will liaise with employers to identify new employment opportunities to promote to your customers or to help your customer return to the workplace. You will deliver up to 6 months in-work support to customers who successfully secure employment.
