Year 6 Teaching Assistant Required
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Kidderminster. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils during a key stage of their education as they prepare for SATs and their transition to secondary school. Working closely with the class teacher, you will play a vital role in helping pupils build confidence, develop key skills, and achieve their full potential in a supportive and engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning activities.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, helping them to make excellent progress.
- Assist with interventions in English and Maths to help prepare pupils for Year 6 assessments.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment.
- Help prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning space.
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for all children.
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Has previous experience working in a primary school, ideally within Key Stage 2.
- Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
