The predicted salary is between 18000 - 24000 £ per year.
We are looking for an experienced SEND teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis in Year 4. This role will include support within and outside of the classroom for a child who has recently been diagnosed with ASD. The suitable candidate will have a caring, supportive nature and the ability to quickly build strong relationships with pupils. This child utilises sensory resources and requires regular breaks.
Previous experience within Key Stage 2 is preferred but not essential.
Skills and experience required for our teaching assistant jobs:
- Level 2+ Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ/CACHE preferable)
- An enthusiastic, well-motivated and talented classroom practitioner
- Excellent working knowledge of the Primary curriculum
- Recent primary school experience within the last 3 years
- Right to Work in the UK
- Clear Enhanced Child Workforce on the Update Service (if you do not have this, we will require you to apply for a new DBS)
- Able to provide at least 2 references to cover a minimum of 2 years
- Strong EYFS and SEND knowledge
