Cover Supervisors Required - Wolverhampton Schools

Aspire People are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across schools in the Wolverhampton area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and looking to gain varied experience within local secondary schools. Roles are available for both daily emergency cover and long-term placements, offering flexibility and consistent work.

The Role

  • Delivering pre-set work to classes in the absence of the teacher
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Supporting pupils to stay engaged and on task
  • Providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEND needs where required
  • Working collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of learning
  • Adapting quickly to different school settings and year groups

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience working in a school setting
  • A degree (essential requirement)
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Experience delivering planned lessons
  • Confidence supporting pupils with SEND, including 1:1 support
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure and solve problems quickly
  • A calm, patient, reliable and professional approach
  • Flexibility for both daily and long-term cover assignments
