Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, and other learning disabilities.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and support teachers in delivering inclusive and differentiated lessons.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting emotional and social development.
  • Help with the assessment of students' progress and report on their achievements to teachers and parents.
  • Offer emotional and behavioural support, helping students build confidence and self-esteem.
  • Work closely with other staff, including SENCOs, teachers, and external agencies, to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Psychology (or related field) is essential.
  • Experience working with children or young adults, especially those with SEN, is desirable but not required.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
