We are currently recruiting for an experienced and highly organised School Office Manager to support schools across Sandwell and Dudley from September. This is a key role within a busy school environment, requiring a confident individual who can lead the day-to-day operations of the school office while maintaining high standards of administration. The successful candidate must have previous experience working within a school environment and be confident managing administrative systems, processes, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the daily running of the school office and administrative functions
- Managing and supporting administrative staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently
- Acting as a key point of contact for staff, parents, and external agencies
- Managing pupil data and ensuring records are accurate and up to date
- Supporting attendance, admissions, and reporting processes
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, GDPR, and school policies
- Coordinating communications, including emails, letters, and internal notices
- Supporting senior leadership with administrative and organisational tasks
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a school environment
- Experience in a senior administrative or office management role
- Strong knowledge of school systems such as SIMS, BROMCOM, or ARBOR
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Strong communication skills with a professional and confident approach
- Ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Important Information
- No training will be provided – candidates must be able to start and perform the role immediately
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is highly desirable
- Candidates without a DBS will be required to obtain and pay for their own Enhanced DBS check
