Let's be upfront: schools across Halton are stretched, and we're struggling to keep up with demand. We're a specialist education agency working closely with primary and SEND schools in Widnes and Runcorn, and right now we are inundated with work. Every week, schools come to us needing reliable, capable supply teachers—for day-to-day cover, PPA and training days, and both short- and long-term sickness. And too often, we're having to say no simply because we don't have enough teachers available. If you're a qualified teacher (or soon to be), there is more opportunity here than you might expect.

Who is supply teaching right for?

• ECTs & Graduates – A solid way to build experience, confidence, and classroom presence across a range of schools. Longer placements can even count towards your ECT induction and can often lead to permanent roles.
• M1‑M6 Teachers – Teaching can be relentless. If you're starting to feel the strain, supply can offer breathing space – flexibility, less admin, and a chance to reset without stepping away from the profession.
• Experienced & Specialist Teachers – We regularly receive requests for specific expertise, particularly within SEND. Fixed‑term supply roles can be a smart next step if you're looking to broaden or refocus your career.

To be considered for this role, you must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, and both experienced and ECTs are encouraged to apply. We're working with a wide network of schools across Halton, and new roles come in every week.
