Welsh-Speaking Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Location: Blaenau Gwent. Contract Type: Full Time. The position is part-time, initially for three days a week, and is set to begin as soon as possible. Aspire People is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Welsh-speaking LSA for a school in Blaenau Gwent.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tailored learning plans.
- Promote inclusive learning and support the emotional and social development of children.
- Use the Welsh language within the school community.
- Work closely with the teaching staff to ensure each child's learning needs are met.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Fluent in Welsh, both written and spoken.
- Experience working with children, preferably within an educational setting.
- A compassionate, patient, and positive attitude toward supporting young learners.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Desirable
- Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN) is a plus.
