Year 1 Teaching Assistant – General Support Full‑time, immediate start until July 2026.

About the Role

Teaching Assistant – Year 1, Partington, Trafford, mainstream primary school. Immediate start, potential contract/permanent from September 2026. Competitive salary dependent on experience.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist the Year 1 teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
  • Provide 1:1 support and work with small groups to boost literacy and numeracy, focusing on phonics.
  • Support children during targeted interventions to help progress in specific areas of development.
  • Help manage the classroom environment by promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Monitor student progress, assist with assessments, and keep track of learning journeys.

What We're Looking For

  • A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3) or at least 6 months of experience in a similar role.
