Aspire People are currently recruiting for a Nursery Lead to join a fantastic primary school in Telford on a full-time, long-term basis, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced education professional who is confident taking responsibility for leading a nursery provision, planning engaging learning opportunities and supporting children to develop and thrive.

The Role

  • Leading and supporting the nursery provision within a primary school
  • Taking responsibility for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate learning activities
  • Supporting children across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Creating a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Planning activities around children's individual needs, interests and stages of development
  • Supporting children's communication, language, physical, social and emotional development
  • Monitoring and assessing children’s progress and development
  • Working closely with other members of the EYFS and wider school team
  • Supporting children with SEND and additional needs
  • Building strong and positive relationships with children, parents and staff
  • Ensuring children are safe, happy and engaged throughout the day
  • Taking a lead role within the nursery and providing guidance and support to other staff where required
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school and working collaboratively with the leadership team

About You

Ideally, you will have:

  • A minimum HLTA qualification
  • Previous experience working within an EYFS, nursery or primary school setting
  • Experience of leading, planning or taking responsibility for a nursery or early years provision
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • A genuine passion for supporting young children and helping them reach their full potential
  • A nurturing, patient and enthusiastic approach
  • Strong organisation and planning skills
