We are working with a welcoming school that is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide valuable support to pupils across the school.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils both academically and personally. You will work closely with class teachers and the wider school team to help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Supporting pupils with their learning on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
- Working alongside teachers to deliver engaging classroom activities.
- Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
- Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
- Providing pastoral support where required.
- Supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning.
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive and positive classroom environment.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be:
- Passionate about working with children and supporting their development.
- Patient, caring and approachable.
- Confident building positive relationships with pupils.
- Reliable, enthusiastic and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Organised and able to respond calmly to different situations.
- Experienced working with children or young people.
- SEND experience is desirable but not essential.
