Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support (Year 2) Primary School in Walsall

Start: ASAP

Full-Time Ongoing Position

About the Role:

  • Supporting him with his learning across the curriculum
  • Implementing strategies to help him remain focused and engaged
  • Providing calm, consistent behaviour support
  • Assisting him during transitions, break times, and lunchtime
  • Working alongside the class teacher and SENCO to follow the EHCP targets

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive
  • Experienced in supporting children with SEND or behavioural needs (desirable)
  • Able to build positive, trusting relationships
  • Consistent with behaviour management and clear routines
  • Passionate about helping children thrive academically and emotionally
