Plan and teach KS3/KS4 English effectively and creatively across the age and ability range. Ensure students are assessed in line with department and school policy and to use assessment to inform student learning. Report to parents on student progress as required by school policy. Attend and contribute to English department meetings. Follow departmental schemes of work and where appropriate, contribute to their development. Promote English in the school and contribute to enrichment and extra-curricular activities. Support student learning through regular target setting. To keep up to date with current thinking and new initiatives regarding English Teaching.
