Aspire People is recruiting a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs within a mainstream primary school setting. This role will involve supporting pupils with SEND, including learning difficulties, speech and language needs, and social or emotional challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
  • Helping pupils access the curriculum through differentiated support
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and engagement
  • Supporting inclusion within the classroom

Qualifications

  • Has a Level 2 TA qualification
  • Has experience supporting children with SEND (school-based preferred)
  • Is calm, empathetic, and adaptable
  • Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
