We are looking for an experienced Early Years Practitioner! A school based in Walsall is looking for a qualified Early Years practitioner to work within their 2 year old provision. You will be working alongside another practitioner, supporting 7 children who are 2 years old. This role is 5 days per week, working 8:30 - 12:30. This role will involve personal care (nappy changing).

The school requires an individual who has previous early years experience, such as nursery work. As this is an early years role, you must have Level 2 Early Years qualification as a minimum, for ratio purposes; unfortunately, a Teaching Assistant qualification will not count towards ratios.

Skills and experience required for our teaching assistant jobs:

  • Level 3+ Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ/CACHE preferable)
  • An enthusiastic, well-motivated and talented classroom practitioner
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Primary curriculum
  • Recent primary school experience within the last 3 years
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Clear Enhanced Child Workforce on the Update Service (if you do not have this, we will require you to apply for a new DBS)
  • Able to provide at least 2 references to cover a minimum of 2 years
  • Strong EYFS knowledge
