Are you a passionate and experienced SEND teacher with QTS, looking to make a real difference on a one-to-one basis? We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEND Teacher to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including SEMH, autism, physical disabilities, and other complex profiles. This role is ideal for an educator who thrives in a flexible, independent teaching environment and is committed to delivering tailored, high-quality education outside the traditional classroom setting.
The Role
- Deliver individualised, high-quality education to children not currently attending school.
- Plan and implement engaging, needs-led lessons tailored to each pupil's EHCP and learning goals.
- Work autonomously in settings such as the child's home or other appropriate quiet spaces.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families to support educational re-engagement and progress.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with a range of SEND, particularly SEMH, autism and physical or medical needs
- Able to plan, deliver, and assess lessons independently
- Comfortable working one-to-one in a variety of non-school environments
- Excellent communication, safeguarding awareness, and record-keeping skills
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
